Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Homer-Center knocked off by Marion Center
January 31, 2024: Homer City, PA 15748 The Marion Center Stingers basketball team scored 40 points and held the host Homer-Center Wildcats to 23 in the Stingers league triumph on Wednesday.
The Stingers now sport a 17-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host River Valley for a Heritage contest on Friday, February 2. Marion Center will meet a Panthers team coming off a 31-29 league loss to Penns Manor (Clymer, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 16-5.
The Wildcats (6-11) will now prepare for their contest against Purchase Line (Commodore, PA). The Red Dragons enter the Heritage contest with a 5-14 record. In their last contest, Purchase Line was outscored by West Shamokin (Rural Valley, PA), 51-46, in a league contest.
