Sands Mustangs (Ackerly, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Loop Longhorns (Loop, TX), 44-24 in a league match.

With the victory, Sands upgrades its record to 17-13 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Dawson (Welch, TX) to face the Dragons in a 1A Region I District 6 match on Tuesday, February 4. The Dragons enter the match with a record of 5-17. Dawson lost 68-25 in their recent league match against Klondike (Lamesa, TX)
