The Klondike Cougars basketball team scored 48 points and limited the visiting Loop Longhorns to 24 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now have a 14-14 record. They play next when they travel to Borden County for a 1A Region I District 6 game on Tuesday, January 28. Klondike will confront a Coyotes team coming off a 42-19 league win over Sands (Ackerly, TX). The Coyotes record now stands at 17-6.

With the loss, Loop falls to 8-12 on the campaign. The Longhorns host Dawson (Welch, TX) to confront the Dragons in a 1A Region I District 6 challenge on Tuesday, January 28. The Dragons come into the challenge with a record of 5-15. Dawson lost 57-12 in their recent league challenge against Grady (Lenorah, TX)
