Arkansas High School Basketball - Walnut Ridge knocked off by Rivercrest
January 4, 2024: Walnut Ridge, AR 72476 The Rivercrest Colts basketball team scored 68 points and held the host Walnut Ridge Bobcats to 53 in the Colts non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Colts now sport a 10-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Piggott for a 3A Region 3 contest on Friday, January 5. Rivercrest will meet a Mohawks team coming off a 65-27 non-league loss to Rivercrest (Wilson, AR). The Mohawks record now stands at 0-11.
The Bobcats (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Cave City (Cave City, AR). The Cavemen enter the 3A Region 2 contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, Cave City was outscored by Melbourne (Melbourne, AR), 58-42, in a league contest.
