The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers (Darien, GA) and the host Metter Tigers (Metter, GA), observed McIntosh County Academy's basketball team overwhelm Metter by a score of 64-30.

The Buccaneers (10-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Savannah (Savannah, GA). The Bluejackets come into the A D2 Region 3 challenge with a 9-2 record. In their last challenge, Savannah trounced Claxton (Claxton, GA), 93-39, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Portal Panthers (Portal, GA) in a A D2 Region 3 challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Metter will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 69-53 league win over Emanuel County Institute (Twin City, GA).
