The McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers (Darien, GA) basketball were winner over the host Portal Panthers (Portal, GA), 63-52 in Friday's league bout.

The Buccaneers now possess a 18-3 record. They play next when they host Metter for a A D2 Region 3 bout on Saturday, February 1. McIntosh County Academy will play a Tigers team coming off a 55-48 league loss to Jenkins County (Millen, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 7-10.

With the loss, Portal falls to 9-12 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Emanuel County Institute (Twin City, GA) to play the Bulldogs in a A D2 Region 3 bout on Saturday, February 1. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 2-14. Emanuel County Institute won 57-54 in their recent league bout against Claxton (Claxton, GA)
