January 5, 2024: Cameron, WI 54822 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Ladysmith Lumberjacks (Ladysmith, WI) and the host Cameron Comets (Cameron, WI), saw Ladysmith's basketball squad hold off Cameron by a tally of 69-66.
With the victory, Ladysmith improves its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks host Cadott (Cadott, WI) to play the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 8. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 5-7. Cadott lost 61-55 in their recent league challenge against Regis (Eau Claire, WI)
Next up, the Comets play the Northwestern Tigers (Maple, WI) in a Heart O'North challenge, on Thursday, January 11. Cameron will attempt to improve on its 9-1 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 64-47 non-league loss to Prescott (Prescott, WI).
