Virginia High School Basketball - William Byrd routs Lord Botetourt
January 5, 2024: Vinton, VA 24179 In Friday's league outing, the William Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Lord Botetourt Cavaliers (Daleville, VA), by a margin of 81-60.
The Terriers (8-3) will now prepare for their outing against Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA). The Eagles go into the Blue Ridge outing with a 2-8 record. In their last outing, Franklin County was trounced by Staunton River (Moneta, VA), 44-41, in a league outing.
The Cavaliers now own a 6-6 record. They play next when they host Fleming for a Blue Ridge outing on Tuesday, January 9. Lord Botetourt will clash with a Colonels squad coming off a 67-55 league loss to Northside (Roanoke, VA). The Colonels record now stands at 6-4.
