In Friday's league outing, the Mesquite Wildcats (Gilbert, AZ) basketball squad nipped the visiting Saguaro Sabercats (Scottsdale, AZ), by a margin of 67-64.

The Wildcats (13-3) will now prepare for their outing against St. Mary's (Phoenix, AZ). The Knights go into the 4A Desert Sky outing with a 10-6 record. In their last outing, St. Mary's got by Flagstaff (Flagstaff, AZ), 91-71, in a non-league outing.
