Illinois High School Basketball - West Aurora nips Romeoville
January 5, 2024: Romeoville, IL 60446 West Aurora Blackhawks (Aurora, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Romeoville Spartans (Romeoville, IL), 48-41 in a league bout.
With the win, West Aurora upgrades its record to 13-4 on the season. The Blackhawks host Joliet Central (Joliet, IL) to play the Steelmen in a SouthWest Prairie bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Steelmen go into the bout with a record of 9-6. Joliet Central lost 35-34 in their recent league bout against Minooka (Minooka, IL)
Next up, the Spartans play the Curie Condors (Chicago, IL) in a non-league bout, on Sunday, January 7. Romeoville will attempt to upgrade on its 13-4 season record. The Condors go into the bout with a 14-1 record after their 69-66 non-league win over Benet Academy (Lisle, IL).
