The Newton-Conover Red Devils basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Lincolnton Wolves to 37 in the Red Devils league triumph on Friday.

The Red Devils now sport a 3-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Burke for a 2A Catawba Valley contest on Tuesday, January 9. Newton-Conover will meet a Cavaliers team coming off a 76-28 league win over Bandys (Catawba, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 11-0.

The Wolves (3-9) will now prepare for their contest against Bandys (Catawba, NC). The Trojans enter the 2A Catawba Valley contest with a 5-7 record. In their last contest, Bandys was outscored by East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC), 76-28, in a league contest.
