Exeter-Milligan Timberwolves (Exeter, NE) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Shelby-Rising City Huskies (Shelby, NE), 46-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Exeter-Milligan upgrades its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Timberwolves travel to Sterling (Sterling, NE) to play the Jets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Jets come into the bout with a record of 5-6. Sterling won 42-39 in their recent non-league bout against Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer (Humboldt, NE)
