Hoover Vikings (North Canton, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Washington Tigers (Massillon, OH), 50-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hoover upgrades its record to 4-5 on the season. The Vikings host Perry (Massillon, OH) to clash with the Panthers in a Federal bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 2-7. Perry lost 87-62 in their recent league bout against Jackson (Massillon, OH)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Dover Crimson Tornadoes (Dover, OH) in a non-league bout, on Sunday, January 8. Washington will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Crimson Tornadoes go into the bout with a 9-0 record after their 61-38 non-league win over Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV).
