Perry Panthers (Massillon, OH) supporters were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Hoover Vikings (North Canton, OH), 42-37 in a league challenge.

With the victory, Perry improves its record to 5-15 on the campaign. The Panthers host Marietta (Marietta, OH) to confront the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 13. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 14-6. Marietta won 70-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Federal Hocking (Stewart, OH)

Next up, the Vikings confront the Boardman Spartans (Youngstown, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 14. Hoover will attempt to improve on its 8-12 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 7-13 record after their 50-42 league loss to Harding (Warren, OH).
