Texas High School Basketball - Irion County holds off Miles
January 6, 2023: Miles, TX 76861 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Irion County Hornets (Mertzon, TX) and the host Miles Bulldogs (Miles, TX), saw Irion County's basketball squad hold off Miles by a tally of 44-40.
With the victory, Irion County improves its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Hornets host Lake View (San Angelo, TX) to confront the Chiefs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a record of 5-15. Lake View lost 62-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Llano (Llano, TX)
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Brady Bulldogs (Brady, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Miles will attempt to improve on its 17-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 3-10 record after their 64-31 non-league loss to Irion County (Mertzon, TX).
