The La Plata Warriors basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting McDonough Rams to 58 in the Warriors league triumph on Friday.

The Warriors now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Huntingtown for a Southern Maryland contest on Wednesday, January 11. La Plata will meet a Hurricanes team coming off a 67-34 league win over Calvert (Prince Frederick, MD). The Hurricanes record now stands at 4-4.

The Rams (9-1) will now prepare for their contest against Westlake (Waldorf, MD). The Wolverines enter the Southern Maryland contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Westlake was nudged by North Point (Waldorf, MD), 77-66, in a league contest.
