The Southwestern Heights Mustangs basketball team (Kismet, KS), was overwhelmed 65-37 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Wichita County Indians (Leoti, KS)

The Indians now possess a 8-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cheylin for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 10. Wichita County will confront a Cougars team coming off a 77-39 non-league win over Wheatland-Grinnell (Grainfield, KS). The Cougars record now stands at 5-1.

The Mustangs (0-8) will now prepare for their battle against Meade (Meade, KS). The Buffaloes come into the non-league battle with a 7-1 record. In their last battle, Meade trounced South Central (Coldwater, KS), 53-49, in a non-league battle.
