The Walled Lake Central Vikings (Walled Lake, MI) basketball nipped the host Milford Mavericks (Highland, MI), 28-27 in Friday's league test.

The Vikings (3-4) will now prepare for their test against Saline (Saline, MI). The Hornets go into the non-league test with a 7-1 record. In their last test, Saline was tipped by Rogers (Toledo, OH), 48-36, in a non-league test.

The Mavericks now own a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Walled Lake Northern for a Lakes Valley contest on Tuesday, January 10. Milford will battle a Knights team coming off a 44-10 league win over Kettering (Waterford, MI). The Knights record now stands at 7-3.
