January 7, 2025: Bronx, NY 10451 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Cardinal Hayes Cardinals (Bronx, NY) and the visiting Monsignor Scanlan Crusaders (Bronx, NY), observed Cardinal Hayes's basketball team knock off Monsignor Scanlan by a score of 80-69.
The Cardinals (8-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Bishop Loughlin (Brooklyn, NY). The Lions come into the non-league challenge with a 6-8 record. In their last challenge, Bishop Loughlin was knocked off by Archbishop Molloy (Queens, NY), 88-64, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Crusaders encounter the Iona Prep Gaels (New Rochelle, NY) in a Catholic AA - New York challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Monsignor Scanlan will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record.
