January 7, 2025: Jackson, MS 39202 In Tuesday's league test, the Tupelo Golden Wave (Tupelo, MS) basketball squad trounced the host Murrah Mustangs (Jackson, MS), by a score of 70-49.
Next, the Golden Wave encounter the Germantown Mavericks (Madison, MS) in a 7A Region 2 test, on Friday, January 10. Tupelo will attempt to improve on its 11-4 season record. The Mavericks come into the test with a 14-3 record after their 62-50 non-league loss to Briarcrest Christian (Eads, TN).
The Mustangs (4-12) will now prepare for their test against Clinton (Clinton, MS). The Arrows come into the 7A Region 2 test with a 10-7 record. In their last test, Clinton was routed by Starkville (Starkville, MS), 55-45, in a league test.
