The Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) basketball crushed the host R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC), 67-35 in Tuesday's league test.

Next, the Wolverines clash with the Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC) in a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills 7 test, on Tuesday, January 14. Polk County will attempt to improve on its 11-1 season record.
