The R-S Central Hilltoppers basketball squad (Rutherfordton, NC), was crushed 70-30 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC)

With the victory, Polk County advances its record to 21-1 on the year. The Wolverines host Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC) to meet the Bearcats in a non-league battle on Wednesday, February 19. The Bearcats enter the battle with a record of 19-5. Hendersonville won 51-6 in their recent league battle against Chase (Forest City, NC)

The Hilltoppers now own a 7-16 record.
