Mississippi High School Basketball - Scott Central nips Bay Springs
January 9, 2024: Forest, MS 39074 Scott Central Rebels (Forest, MS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Bay Springs Bulldogs (Bay Springs, MS), 49-48 in a league bout.
With the win, Scott Central upgrades its record to 8-8 on the season. The Rebels host Clarkdale (Meridian, MS) to play the Bulldogs in a 2A Region 5 bout on Friday, January 12. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 9-8. Clarkdale lost 71-29 in their recent league bout against Newton (Newton, MS)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Lake Hornets (Lake, MS) in a 2A Region 5 bout, on Friday, January 12. Bay Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 11-4 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 7-9 record after their 56-44 non-league loss to McLaurin (Florence, MS).
