The Shaw Warriors ran past the visiting West Tallahatchie Choctaws basketball team by a final score of 55-38 in Tuesday's league game.

In their next game, the Warriors face the South Delta Bulldogs (Rolling Fork, MS) in a 1A Region 5 game, on Friday, January 12. Shaw will attempt to move on its 10-7 season record. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 12-3 record after their 54-31 league win over Leland (Leland, MS).

With the defeat, West Tallahatchie moves to 5-8 on the year. The Choctaws travel to West Bolivar (Rosedale, MS) to face the Eagles in a 1A Region 5 game on Friday, January 12. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 0-13. West Bolivar lost 42-27 in their recent league game against Simmons (Hollandale, MS)
