West Tallahatchie Choctaws (Webb, MS) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Coahoma County Red Panthers (Clarksdale, MS), 33-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, West Tallahatchie upgrades its record to 4-5 on the season. The Choctaws travel to Shaw (Shaw, MS) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 26. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 5-6. Shaw won 57-37 in their recent non-league bout against Leflore County (Itta Bena, MS)

Next up, the Red Panthers play the North Panola Cougars (Sardis, MS) in a 3A Region 2 bout, on Friday, January 5. Coahoma County will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record.
