Mississippi High School Basketball - Simpson Academy knocks off Wayne Academy
January 9, 2025: Mendenhall, MS 39114 In Thursday's league contest, the host Simpson Academy Cougars basketball team scored a good 62-46 win over the Wayne Academy Jaguars.
The Cougars (14-1) will now prepare for their contest against Pillow Academy (Greenwood, MS). The Mustangs come into the non-league contest with a 0-12 record. In their last contest, Pillow Academy was topped by East Webster (Maben, MS), 62-39, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Jaguars battle the Park Place Christian Academy Crusaders (Pearl, MS) in a MAIS 5A District 2 contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Wayne Academy will attempt to better on its 12-6 season record.
