Mississippi High School Basketball - Simpson Academy crushes Park Place Christian Academy
January 17, 2025: Mendenhall, MS 39114 The Simpson Academy Cougars (Mendenhall, MS) basketball crushed the visiting Park Place Christian Academy Crusaders (Pearl, MS), 69-28 in Friday's league bout.
The Cougars now possess a 17-1 record. They play next when they travel to Leake Academy for a MAIS 5A District 2 bout on Tuesday, January 21. Simpson Academy will play a Rebels team coming off a 63-22 non-league win over Grace Christian (Louisville, MS). The Rebels record now stands at 18-6.
With the loss, Park Place Christian Academy falls to 6-15 on the campaign. The Crusaders host Lamar (Meridian, MS) to play the Raiders in a MAIS 5A District 2 bout on Tuesday, January 21. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 5-14. Lamar lost 65-40 in their recent league bout against Simpson Academy (Mendenhall, MS)
