The Mallard Creek Mavericks basketball team scored 69 points and limited the host Hough Huskies to 42 in the Mavericks league triumph on Thursday.

The Mavericks now possess a 13-2 record. They play next when they host West Mecklenburg for a 3A/4A Queen City game on Tuesday, January 14. Mallard Creek will confront a Hawks team coming off a 1-0 league loss to North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC). The Hawks record now stands at 3-8.

With the loss, Hough falls to 10-4 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Harding University (Charlotte, NC) to confront the Rams in a 3A/4A Queen City game on Tuesday, January 14. The Rams go into the game with a record of 2-6.
