In Friday's league contest, the host North Mecklenburg Vikings basketball team scored a big 83-49 triumph over the Hough Huskies.

The Vikings (15-2) will now prepare for their contest against Harding University (Charlotte, NC). The Rams go into the 3A/4A Queen City contest with a 2-9 record. In their last contest, Harding University was trounced by Hopewell (Huntersville, NC), 68-42, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Huskies confront the Chambers Cougars (Charlotte, NC) in a 3A/4A Queen City contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Hough will attempt to better on its 13-5 season record.
