The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the North Mecklenburg Vikings (Huntersville, NC) and the visiting Chambers Cougars (Charlotte, NC), observed North Mecklenburg's basketball team overwhelm Chambers by a score of 62-14.

The Vikings (19-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Hopewell (Huntersville, NC). The Titans come into the 3A/4A Queen City challenge with a 5-15 record. In their last challenge, Hopewell trounced West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC), 65-51, in a league challenge.
