Virginia High School Volleyball - Fort Chiswell George Wythe
October 10, 2023: Max Meadows, VA 24360 The George Wythe Maroons volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Fort Chiswell Pioneers to 1 in the Maroons league victory on Tuesday.
The Maroons now have a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Grayson County for a Mountain Empire game on Thursday, October 12. George Wythe will meet a Blue Devils team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Auburn (Riner, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 10-8.
The Pioneers (4-12) will now prepare for their game against Galax (Galax, VA). The Maroon Tide enter the Mountain Empire game with a 8-9 record. In their last game, Galax dropped by Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA), 3-0, in a league game.
