North Carolina High School Soccer - Pinecrest knocks off Scotland
October 11, 2023: Southern Pines, NC 28387 Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) supporters were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC), 7-1 in a league challenge.
Next, the Patriots confront the Hoke County Bucks (Raeford, NC) in a Sandhills 3A/4A challenge, on Monday, October 16. Pinecrest will attempt to move on its 11-4 season record. The Bucks enter the challenge with a 13-7 record after their 2-1 non-league win over South View (Hope Mills, NC).
The Fighting Scots now possess a 1-10 record. They take the field next when they host Lee County for a Sandhills 3A/4A challenge on Monday, October 16. Scotland will confront a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 5-0 league win over Richmond (Rockingham, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 14-4.
