September 12, 2023: Laurinburg, NC 28352 Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC), 4-3 in a league challenge.
Next, the Vikings confront the Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC) in a Sandhills 3A/4A challenge, on Wednesday, September 13. Union Pines will attempt to move on its 3-6 season record. The Raiders enter the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 3-0 league loss to Hoke County (Raeford, NC).
The Fighting Scots now possess a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Red Springs for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 14. Scotland will confront a Red Devils team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC). The Red Devils record now stands at 0-2.
