October 12, 2023: Mt. Vernon, IA 52314 The Mt. Vernon Mustangs volleyball team (Mt. Vernon, IA), was nudged 2-1 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the visiting Marion Wolves (Marion, IA)
The Wolves (23-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Clear Creek-Amana (Tiffin, IA). The Clippers enter the WAMAC - West challenge with a 41-0 record. In their last challenge, Clear Creek-Amana nipped North Scott (Eldridge, IA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Mustangs encounter the Williamsburg Raiders (Williamsburg, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 17. Mt. Vernon will attempt to move on its 31-4 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 6-24 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to South Tama County (Tama, IA).
