September 5, 2023: Mt. Vernon, IA 52314 The Solon Spartans volleyball team (Solon, IA), went down 3-0 in Tuesday's league challenge with the host Mt. Vernon Mustangs (Mt. Vernon, IA)
The Mustangs (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against West Delaware (Manchester, IA). The Hawks enter the WAMAC - East challenge with a 11-6 record. In their last challenge, West Delaware went down by Denver (Denver, IA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Spartans encounter the Oelwein Huskies (Oelwein, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 7. Solon will attempt to move on its 6-5 season record. The Huskies enter the challenge with a 8-6 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Union (La Porte City, IA).
