North Carolina High School Volleyball - Polk County over Chase

Fans at Monday's league contest between the Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) and the visiting Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC), observed Polk County's volleyball team top Chase by a tally of 3-0.

The Wolverines (14-3) will now prepare for their contest against East Rutherford (Forest City, NC). The Cavaliers enter the Mountain Foothills Seven 1A/2A contest with a 9-9 record. In their last contest, East Rutherford beat Chase (Forest City, NC), 3-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Trojans meet the Hendersonville Bearcats (Hendersonville, NC) in a Mountain Foothills Seven 1A/2A contest, on Tuesday, October 15. Chase will attempt to upgrade on its 7-13 season record. The Bearcats enter the contest with a 7-11 record after their 3-0 league loss to Brevard (Brevard, NC).
