West Virginia High School Volleyball - Independence overwhelmed by James Monroe

The Independence Patriots volleyball team (Coal City, WV), went down 3-0 in Tuesday's non-league challenge with the host James Monroe Mavericks (Lindside, WV)

The Mavericks (24-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Liberty (Glen Daniel, WV). The Raiders come into the non-league challenge with a 15-14 record. In their last challenge, Liberty defeated Wyoming East (New Richmond, WV), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Patriots encounter the Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV) in a Mountain State challenge, on Thursday, October 20. Independence will attempt to move on its 12-26 season record. The Grizzlies come into the challenge with a 14-18 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV).
