West Virginia High School Volleyball - James Monroe nudged by Independence

September 29, 2022: Coal City, WV 25823

The James Monroe Mavericks volleyball team (Lindside, WV), was nudged 2-1 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the host Independence Patriots (Coal City, WV)

The Patriots (5-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Wyoming East (New Richmond, WV). The Warriors enter the Coalfield AA challenge with a 7-7 record. In their last challenge, Wyoming East nipped Montcalm (Montcalm, WV), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Mavericks meet the Greenbrier West Cavaliers (Charmco, WV) in a Mountain State challenge, on Tuesday, October 4. James Monroe will attempt to move on its 17-9 season record. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a 12-5 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV).
