Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) and the visiting Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), observed Watauga's volleyball team top Alexander Central by a count of 3-0.

The Pioneers (19-1) will now prepare for their contest against McDowell (Marion, NC). The Titans enter the Northwestern 6A/7A contest with a 10-10 record. In their last contest, McDowell was knocked off by St. Stephens (Hickory, NC), 3-1, in a league contest.
