New Mexico High School Soccer - Highland knocks off Valencia
October 22, 2024: Albuquerque, NM 87108 Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM) and the visiting Valencia Jaguars (Los Lunas, NM), saw Highland's soccer squad triumph over Valencia by a count of 5-0.
The Hornets (11-7) will now prepare for their battle against St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM). The Sartans enter the 4A District 5 battle with a 16-3 record. In their last battle, St. Pius X tipped Hope Christian (Albuquerque, NM), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Jaguars battle the Belen Eagles (Belen, NM) in a 4A District 5 battle, on Thursday, October 24. Valencia will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 6-12 record after their 6-0 league win over Grants (Grants, NM).
