Louisiana High School Football - Hammond defeated by Covington

The Covington Lions were victorious over the visiting Hammond Tornadoes football squad by a margin of 25-14 in Friday's league outing.

The Lions now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ponchatoula for a 5A District 6 outing on Friday, October 31. Covington will clash with a Green Wave team coming off a 27-0 league loss to Mandeville (Mandeville, LA). The Green Wave record now stands at 1-7.

The Tornadoes (5-3) will now prepare for their game against Salmen (Slidell, LA). The Spartans enter the non-league game with a 5-3 record. In their last game, Salmen ran past Slidell (Slidell, LA), 35-21, in a league game.
