North Carolina High School Football - Hertford County prevails First Flight

October 24, 2025: Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948

In Friday's league match, the visiting Hertford County Bears football squad scored a good 30-14 triumph over the First Flight Nighthawks.

The Bears (5-4) will now prepare for their match against Martin County (Williamston, NC). The Gators come into the Northeastern Coastal 3A/4A/5A match with a 6-3 record. In their last match, Martin County was beaten by Northeastern (Elizabeth City, NC), 14-13, in a league match.

Next up, the Nighthawks play the Currituck County Knights (Barco, NC) in a Northeastern Coastal 3A/4A/5A battle, on Thursday, October 30. First Flight will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Knights go into the battle with a 7-2 record after their 34-33 league win over Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC).
