The Mallard Creek Mavericks football squad scored 40 points and limited the host West Mecklenburg Hawks to 0 in the Mavericks league triumph on Friday.

The Mavericks now sport a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they host Chambers for a 3A/4A Queen City test on Friday, November 1. Mallard Creek will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 33-7 league loss to West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 5-4.

With the defeat, West Mecklenburg drops to 2-7 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Harding University (Charlotte, NC) to meet the Rams in a 3A/4A Queen City test on Friday, November 1.
