The Union Bears volleyball team (Appalachia, VA), was edged 3-2 in Thursday's league challenge with the visiting Gate City Blue Devils (Gate City, VA)

The Blue Devils (20-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Richlands (Richlands, VA). The Blue Tornado come into the non-league challenge with a 9-11 record. In their last challenge, Richlands nudged Graham (Bluefield, VA), 3-1, in a league challenge.
