Georgia High School Softball - Academy for Classical Education bounces Southwest
October 3, 2023: Macon, GA 31210 The Academy for Classical Education Gryphons (Macon, GA) softball routed the visiting Southwest Patriots (Macon, GA), 21-1 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Gryphons (23-3) will now prepare for their bout against Statesboro (Statesboro, GA). The Blue Devils go into the non-league bout with a 13-5 record. In their last bout, Statesboro notched a victory over Ware County (Waycross, GA), 14-4, in a league bout.
The Patriots now possess a 4-8 record. They play next when they host Central for a 2A Region 2 bout on Thursday, October 5. Southwest will confront a Chargers squad coming off a 24-9 league loss to Northeast (Macon, GA). The Chargers record now stands at 8-8.
