The McDowell Trojans (Erie, PA) football were winner over the host Cathedral Prep Ramblers (Erie, PA), 44-21 in Friday's league outing.

The Trojans now sport a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Austintown-Fitch for a non-league outing on Friday, October 11. McDowell will clash with a Falcons squad coming off a 20-15 non-league win over Perry (Massillon, OH). The Falcons record now stands at 6-1.

With the defeat, Cathedral Prep drops to 5-2 on the campaign. The Ramblers host Benedictine (Cleveland, OH) to clash with the Bengals in a non-league outing on Friday, October 11. The Bengals come into the outing with a record of 5-2. Benedictine won 42-9 in their recent non-league outing against Elyria Catholic (Elyria, OH)
