Fans at Wednesday's league contest between the Somerset Sky Pointe Eagles (Las Vegas, NV) and the host Cheyenne Desert Shields (North Las Vegas, NV), observed Somerset Sky Pointe's volleyball team hold off Cheyenne by a count of 3-2.

The Eagles (13-8) will now prepare for their contest against Western (Las Vegas, NV). The Warriors enter the 4A Southern - Desert contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Western was tipped by Cimarron-Memorial (Las Vegas, NV), 3-0, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Desert Shields encounter the Pine View Panthers (St. George, UT) in a non-league battle, on Friday, October 10. Cheyenne will attempt to improve on its 6-17 season record.
