Texas High School Football - Liberty overwhelmed by Walnut Grove

October 9, 2025: Frisco, TX 75035

The Walnut Grove Wildcats walloped the host Liberty Redhawks football team by a score of 70-14 in Thursday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats face the Anna Coyotes (Anna, TX) in a 5A-2 Region I District 4 challenge, on Friday, October 17. Walnut Grove will attempt to improve on its 6-0 season record. The Coyotes enter the challenge with a 5-1 record after their 56-14 league win over Emerson (McKinney, TX).

The Redhawks (1-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Denison (Denison, TX). The Yellow Jackets come into the 5A-2 Region I District 4 test with a 3-2 record. In their last test, Denison triumphed over Memorial (Frisco, TX), 41-23, in a league test.
