Texas High School Football - Liberty falls to Emerson

October 3, 2025: McKinney, TX 75070

The Emerson Mavericks felled the visiting Liberty Redhawks football team by a score of 28-7 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Mavericks face the Anna Coyotes (Anna, TX) in a 5A-2 Region I District 4 challenge, on Friday, October 10. Emerson will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Coyotes go into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 63-7 league win over Independence (Frisco, TX).

The Redhawks (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Walnut Grove (Prosper, TX). The Wildcats go into the 5A-2 Region I District 4 challenge with a 5-0 record. In their last challenge, Walnut Grove toppled Memorial (Frisco, TX), 70-10, in a league challenge.
