Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX) and the visiting Del Rio Rams (Del Rio, TX), saw Nixon's basketball squad hold off Del Rio by a count of 51-44.

With the victory, Nixon upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Lanier (San Antonio, TX) to play the Voks in a non-league challenge on Thursday, November 10. The Voks come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Lanier lost 63-27 in their recent non-league challenge against Harlandale (San Antonio, TX)

Next up, the Rams play the Devine Warhorses (Devine, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, November 8. Del Rio will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
